Pre-Launch Checklist
Here's a checklist for everything you need to do before sharing Cereal with your readers.
Make sure all Patreon imports are categorized into a book or are set as an author update.
Your readers will only see books that are set to live and author updates. If you have multiple books you can leave posts for those books uncategorized or not set the book live if you don't wish to share them on Cereal.
Confirm book details

Mark as mature
Mark as complete/in-progress
Assign both category tags
Confirm the order of your chapters
We build your chapter order initially by the order in which you add them to the book, you can drag and drop to adjust this
Set book live
Make sure to save your updates on the Manage Book page!
Confirm Your Profile is Complete

Profile name
This is your username. We default to your Patreon vanity, but you can update your username.
Download the Cereal app to see how your books look! [optional]
The app may look slightly different for you than some of your readers as you will have full access to all of your content.
For your info, here's what locked content looks like:
For author updates, users can see the title and time published but there's a lock over the middle of the button
In any place where chapters are listed (table of contents, from the book page) the chapter title is visible, but there's a lock symbol on the button
In the e-reader, if a reader progresses to a chapter they don't have access to they'll receive the following text:
"You don't have access to this content"
A card will appear letting them know to sign up on Patreon for access to this and XX more chapters on Cereal. XX will be equal to the number of non-public chapters you have PUBLISHED on Cereal.
In the future, we'd like to allow them to click on the card and signup to your Patreon without leaving the Cereal app! Talk about an increase in conversion rate (we know it's not fun to get wattpad or other free readers to get to your Patreon)
Share with readers!
(see the next page for more information)
